MySurvey
My Survey is a market research organization that has recently
established their MySurvey Consumer Panel. This online consumer
panel is effectively a group of consumers from all over the world
who have the ability to influence future products and services by
volunteering to participate in a range of consumer research.
According to the MySurvey website, consumer research is discovering
what people like you want and need by asking for opinions about
products and services through surveys and product testing.
MySurvey places significant value on your opinions, and according
to their website, “consumer opinions count in a big way”. They also
claim that a number of important products and services have been
established through this market research process, including air
bags, antilock brakes, cash reward credit cards, and even
child-proof safety caps. MySurvey has been in business for a number
of years now, and as such they are well positioned to make working
with them, either as a research participant or a client, a rewarding
experience.
As a participant, you will be eligible for a number of rewards,
including the chance to win a range of cash prizes in their regular
sweepstakes and earn points that can be exchanged for cash.

Comment: MySurvey is definitely the most fun survey site I am a
member of, with a wide range of survey topics and fair
rewards for each. Most weeks I receive about 3-8
surveys, a lot of which I have qualified for and
received great rewards. You can even earn additional
entries into their $10,000 sweepstakes draw just for
logging in daily. I also like the fact that they pay
through PayPal (which is my preferred option), although
you can opt to select rewards in the form of prizes or
E-Certificates. Cash out stands at 1100 points for
PayPal which is equivalent to USD $10. Most would think
that this is a high target to reach, though if you are
diligent this happens fast.
In summary, I enjoy being a MySurvey member, so much
so, that I have referred many friends and family to
join the panel too. The amount of surveys is good, the
rewards offered are fair, and the payment system is
quick – all the things I was looking for in a survey
company.

Comment: I was referred by a friend to this site and was very
impressed with their conditions over other paid survey
sites - they offer regular surveys which is great that
they are made available by logging into their website
(other sites are email link only), as well as paying a
small compensation for surveys you don't qualify for
(again other surveys sites don't). The rewards are
numerous and easy to obtain.
Comes highly recommended. |

Comment: MySurvey UK Panel (MyTNS) - uk.mysurvey.com
Hi,
I joined MySurvey Panel in May 2010 and I categorise
MySurvey as a low earner survey site, by that I mean
the rewards are low for the amount of time you are
prepared to devote to filling out their surveys.
However, before I get into MySurvey too deeply, I feel
it may help to firstly digress into history and make a
brief mention of another survey site - Lightspeed
Panel.
Why? - All will become clear shortly.
I joined the Lightspeed Panel in October 2008, so I
have much more experience with Lightspeed than with
MySurvey. I considered Lightspeed to be a medium
earner, they sent many varied and interesting surveys
and their crediting system was extremely reliable.
Points were awarded immediately for completion of
surveys which could be exchanged for gifts or for cash
- 345 points provided 3GBP and payments were made
promptly within a few days through PayPal and in my
experience - never failed. Email invitations to surveys
clearly stated the unique survey reference, the reward
available and an approximate completion time -
everything you need to keep track of and reconcile your
points and payments.
As with all survey sites, rewards varied considerably
between surveys but typical and common examples of
survey time=points=reward - (minutes=points=pence),
were as follows:-
10mins=80 points =69.5pence ,
20mins=110points=95.7pence , 35mins=200points=174pence.
Okay, there are surveys sites around where you can earn
more cash for your time, but their surveys tend to be
few and far between. Lightspeed surveys were plentiful
and I nearly always qualified - if I didn't I was
awarded entries into the Lightspeed Panel prize draw.
During October and early November 2010, I noticed that
the rewards offered for Lightspeed surveys were being
dramatically reduced for the time taken to complete
them, typical examples are:-
15mins=50points=43.5pence , 20mins=70points=60.1pence ,
25mins=80points=69.5pence.
Compare these ratios with the original survey values 2
paragraphs above.
I was puzzled by this, but then on 11 November 2010 all
became clear.
On 11 November 2010, I received an email advising:-
"You are currently a member of the Lightspeed panel and
today we have great news for you! ...
...In our ongoing efforts to give you a better service
and more exciting surveys with a wider variety of
topics, the Lightspeed panel and the MySurvey panel are
joining their forces to become MySurvey UK."
To me, this was NOT "great news" and I assume that the
devaluation of the Lightspeed surveys had been
deliberate to bring Lightspeed earnings on a par with
MySurvey.
With MySurvey UK, points are earned and can be redeemed
for an excellent range of gifts and paper vouchers for
example, 790 points (used to be 850 points) for a 5GBP
Love2Shop/Boots/Currys voucher or cash by PayPal - 345
points = 3GBP.
As I mentioned above, I consider MySurvey to be a low
earner, whilst offering a very much larger variety of
redemption possibilities, their earning power is the
same as the devalued Lightspeed level - you can see
that for Lightspeed members - joining forces was not
"great news".
I receive equally as many email invitations for surveys
from MySurvey UK (MySurvey + Lightspeed) as I did from
Lightspeed only, however, as I was a member of both
panels, overall the numbers are considerably fewer –
coming from only one source rather than two.
The invitations usually provide the necessary details -
unique survey reference, the reward available and an
approximate completion time - but very often the
invitation is incomplete. The best word I can use to
describe them is "slapdash" - here is a typical example
with my name, survey reference, completion time and
reward left blank:-
Dear ,
You are invited to participate in Survey . If you
qualify for and complete it, you will earn up to
MySurvey Points.
It will take you minutes.
To take the survey:
1) Go to: http://uk.mysurvey.com/
The website is equally vague. After logging on, my Home
page - looking rather like a typical simple survey
site, presents me with my current points total and an
invitation to complete my "Lifestyle Surveys". Also
here is a list of my current available surveys - note:
Reference Number only. The list does NOT provide any
information about the reward or the expected time for
completion. If I click on a survey and proceed to the
first page, I am usually informed of the reward (if
there is one) and sometimes the expected time for
completion. If I decide that I do not have the time at
that moment to complete the survey and close the page,
the site assumes I have completed the survey and will
not allow me to start the survey later.
As I have mentioned in another review on this site -
before starting a survey I require to know at least 2
things - the time taken to complete the survey and the
reward.
MySurvey UK would be well advised to include this
information in their list of surveys to help members
decide which surveys to begin and when.
MySurvey UK have recently started a Mobile Survey
facility which requires separate registration to
provide your mobile 'phone number - I personally am not
enthusiastic about surveys by mobile 'phone.
I tried a one-off survey a few weeks ago and completing
the first three screens was more of an ordeal rather
than a pleasure and I ended up abandoning the survey. I
don't consider mobile internet to be fast enough or
reliable enough for completing surveys. I may have just
been unlucky but if anyone out there thinks
otherwise.....?
Points can also be earned for referring friends, up to
five friends for 100 points (58pence).
Entries into a quarterly prize draw can also be won to
win prizes ranging from GBP25 (x5), GBP75 (x3), GBP500
(x2) and GBP1000 (x1) - the winners’ names are
published on the website.
The site maintains a complete history of surveys taken
with survey references, dates and rewards, so
reconciling your own records of points and rewards is
easy.
Not many problems with their crediting system and their
reward payment system seem quite robust too.
MySurvey UK offers many survey opportunities to earn
rewards both on the internet and your mobile ‘phone,
whilst I recommend them as a very good and legitimate
survey site, their surveys are low earners so you have
to work much harder and for longer than many other
survey sites.
I hope this review helps you to decide whether or not
to join MySurvey UK.
Thanks....
